Hello. We all love voting and ranking stuff, right? So let’s do it with some artists’ back catalogues. This will be a series of threads (unsure of timeframe etc at the moment) so if you don’t like an artist then don’t you worry your sweet ass, another will be along soon after. This time we’ll be voting on songs by THE STROKES

HOW IT WORKS

So, voting will be similar to ones I’ve done before. You have 10 points to distribute however you like, across the entirety of the artist (The Strokes in this case)‘s entire catalogue of songs. Album tracks, singles, b-sides, whatever you like, if I can google it and verify that it’s by them then it can get points. You can give all 10 points to one song or 1 point to 10 songs or anything in between. I’ll then calculate the points totals and do a results thread where the boards’ favourite song by whoever the subject is will be revealed.

Even in their ‘weaker’ albums they’ve always had incredible individual songs so this is going to be so damn hard. Right off the bat I think at least 5 albums and an EP will be represented in mine.

this is gonna be a really hard one for deciding if I should vote for my absolute favourites or pushing less known songs up the rankings

The b-sides - not that there’s many of them - all dropped on streaming last week so I’m going to re-familiarise myself with them before I commit.

We used to have a CD-R of Is This It and there was no cover or tracklisting so to this day I struggle to remember which song is which on that album. This might be tricky

Good excuse to try The New Abnormal again too. I didn’t get along with it when it came out but I didn’t get along with anything in 2020 for some reason.
