What's Their Best Song? #29: Leonard Cohen - RESULTS THREAD

I still love that song. The shit covers don’t change how good it is for me - no matter how many shit drawings of birds I see I still think birds are cool.

Love the cheesy 80s synth on I’m Your Man. Lenny had a weird fascination with the worst synth sounds on earth I can only respect.

That’ll be you and me who voted for it then eh?

It’s what he opened with when I saw him at Glastonbury, and I remember being just blown away by the grace and charm and charisma of this man.

I thought there’d be enough DiSers who listened to ol’ Lenny as angsty teens to push Dress Rehearsal Rag a bit higher tbh

the sheer volume of excellent songs that didn’t even get a video posting is just ridiculous. what an incredible artist

Annoyed that I missed this somehow

Had a strong strong aversion to synth-era Len to begin with, but he brought me around. I now fully love those songs, synths and all. Although I can’t help but laugh a bit when something like Ain’t No Cure For Love kicks in, just the sudden cheesy whack of it.

Only 6 points for his best song? And 3 of those were from me?

They say you came and stole my sun
And I missed a million miles of fun
But you don’t really care for that it’s up for me do you?
