Gig venue at the front, laundromat at the back.
Not an unusual place but I’d never been to a synagogue before. I saw Patti Smith do a spoken word thing and play songs at a synagogue in Brooklyn on holiday a few years ago.
Not the question, but the strangest place I’ve ever played a gig was in here
