Sub thread: terrible quick meals.

I got one of those three ingredient recipe books a few years ago. It included this:

Man’s taking the piss. That’s not a meal.

Well that changes everything.

Get one of the steaks for around 3 quid from Sainsbos, the microwavable new potatos or a cheap packet of rice and either the green vegetable medley they do in the microwave

Cacio e pepe Is ace. Although I don’t think that is would still eat though.

Bag of starmix
Sharer bag of whatever crisps are on offer at tesco
2 litres of whatever fizzy pop is on offer at tesco
Whatever decent biscuits are on order

Or

Sharwoods 8 poppadom pack with mango chutney and lime pickle

Microwave rice (saino’s jasmine), tin of mackerel (in brine), handful of spinach/salad if I’ve got any. Squirt of spicy mayo. Classy.

These noodles:

Cooked in the microwave with about eight of these dumplings:

And then finished with crispy onions out of the cupboard, soy sauce and a load of sriracha. Chopped spring onions if I’m feeling cheffy.

Ready in about 4 minutes and all straight out of the packet. One bowl to wash up which is frankly, still too many for a lazy meal.

Usually followed up with that exact same meal again.

Was absolutely obsessed with putting these on everything for a while then suddenly stopped. Might get some later.

Had to stop getting them for a while because I was eating them out of the pot as a snack.

As a student I once ate 12 Aunt Bessies yorkshire puddings as a meal. Not even with gravy or sauce or anything. Just like 12 big greasy biscuits.

3 packets of instant noodles, and sometimes I throw some dumplings in the pot with them.

Can be a bit arsed:
Hummus and carrots (not cut up, I just double dip and nibble a big carrot like a bunny)
pasta + jar of sauce/pesto
beans on toast
chicken escalope, rice & hoi sin sauce

Deeply cannot be fucked:
cheese + crackers
Koka noodles

Was gonna say this but wasn’t sure if I’d be breaking my own rule about no ready meals.

Lemon, garlic, parsley prawns from m&s, tossed with some spaghetti and parm

Or English fish (sea bass from Waitrose, new potatoes, asparagus)
