What's your most up to date pop culture reference?

What’s the most recent bit of pop culture in your referencing repertoire? Not sure I have any from after about 2015. Anyone got a YouTuber whose catchphrase (do YouTubers have catchphrases?) they shoehorn into work conversations?

Wazzzzupp?

2018 according to Google. Think you might be the coolest among us.

(I don’t really know what it means but I think I could just about know when to say it)

I got a laugh yesterday with the joke “nobody expects the Spanish influenza”, so not that up to date apparently

I know the last lot of youtube haiku memes - shooting star, singing cowboy, yeah boi.

Also don’t any film references count? Loads of us here would get Marvel quotes and that’s gotta be one of the most relevant things to kids currently no?

You just say “I understood that reference” to any reference anyone else makes, and try to ignore that you’re referencing something that itself is now eight years old.

Didn’t know that yeet came from the memes, I thought it was a pre-existing term I’d just not heard before.

Oh I know who Drake is too.

Nick Drake ahahaha.

I say “hashtag lol” to my kids to wind them up. Does that count?
