Probably around the last week of October 2022 for me, while on jury service so would have been in the jury room at Plymouth Crown Court, had a 500ml Fanta and a Twix.
Last week at the swimming pool I treated myself to an Americano from the Lavazza machine, 0/3 sugars, 2/3 milks. £1.20.
2 weeks ago at the baths. Packet of tangfastics
Tried to buy a diet coke from the Travelodge (Keighley) vending machine three weeks ago but it didnt work.
Think on February in the Eurostar terminal at Brussels I got a Pepsi Max
Water at an airport last October. It’s one of my money saving tips - there’s usually a vending machine with cheaper bottled water tucked away somewhere after you’ve gone through security.
Gym, last Wednesday, bottle of water because I forgot to bring mine from home
On a station concourse about 6 years ago. Took my money and didn’t give me whatever I had paid for - probably a choc bar of some sort. Always happens to me so never bother.
Gym about a month ago.
£2.50 for a bottle of Lucozade sport as I’d forgotten my water bottle, they were out of water.
Sometimes use the one at work, sometimes use the one in the bus station. Can’t remember when I last used one of these but would have been in the last couple of months and will definitely have bought some sort of delicious chocolate bar.
Probably January 2021 to buy a twix
11th October 2022, 7 Springs Inn & Suites in Palm Springs. I bought a pack of Mini Oreos, some Fritos, maybe some Gatorade and a Doctor Pepper what’s the worst that can happen? …well, one was experiencing what you could consider the mild symptoms of a hangover, and the bottle jammed in the machine, so I had to try to communicate this using actual spoken words to a number of staff at the hotel. They didn’t have a key or anyway to get the bottle out, but one of them eventually took pitty on my and used some petty cash to get me another one. We would later go out for a meal and get back to our hotel just in time to hear a drive by shooting on the road outside.
July 31st 2022. Our 1 year wedding anniversary.
Went out for dinner to a local restaurant and got a piece of steak lodged completely and utterly in my chest. It wasn’t the windpipe so I could breathe just fine but basically it got completely clogged and I couldn’t swallow anything without being sick (even water) as it was basically filling up on top of the blockage. Fast forward 5 hours and I’m sitting in A&E and after several consultations (and in agony tbh) a nice nurse told me that full fat coke basically works almost every time. Given that even tiny sips of water were not doing anything but make me sick I was skeptical. BUT yep, totally works. Bought a bottle from the vending machine and on my first big brave gulp it was gone.
I need to chew my steak more thoroughly.
Premier inn every time I’m in one for work.
Drink and crisps for a bedtime snack when pissed
Haha Funkhouser was doing jury service when he was still at school
Gravesend train station a year or so ago, my item got stuck and I was trying to kick it out despite being reinforced and probably welded into the ground. Nearly went Falling Down over it for the journey home.
diet coke in the office 65p
Bottle of coke, Heathrow arrivals, Feb 2023.
Paid by card, which always feels very wrong.
Can or bottle?
Good spot!
