Yeah I would say I’ve known about giant guinea pigs for about 25 years so this checks out.

Someone had ‘capybara’ as part of their address on MSN messenger at secondary school (reckon they might read DiS tbh, hi Sam!), so that’s over 15 years ago now. Maybe they were trialled in Cambridgeshire and then launched to the general public after being so well received.
