When I quit uni in 2006

I texted one of my flatmates (whilst back at parents for Christmas) to tell her I’d be quitting, except I had no credit at the time, so used one of those free SMS websites. Found out later that it automatically put ‘tb’ at the end of texts. Still haunts me to this day. Her thinking that I demanded a reply from her.

In my first year of uni you could top your phone up with credit at the cash point

You could still do that until recently. My Dad was complaining a few weeks ago that they’d stopped it and he had to go to the kiosk in Tescos instead.

Never seen that one either :woman_shrugging:

More likely she thought @barleysugar had to drop out because he contracted tuberculosis. RIP BS, in her mind.
