My standard serving at home is 12 so anything less just feels insufficient.

Proper expensive places don’t have dress codes.
Shit places that want to pretend to be good have dress codes.

Love being a vegetarian because it cuts my choices down immediately to about one or two dishes.

I was just about to say about the pizza express mini deserts! me and my mum LOVE those little things. Just a nibble of a mini chocolate fudge cake or a lemon tart and a coffee. Just enough for us

I’ll have the pasta in cheese sauce that’s a starchy, gluey mess. Thank You.

I feel like this would be the end of the relationship for me. If they’d forced me into getting soup through their inability to order something different, they’re clearly bad people.

Really wanna go out for dinner now

yeah I’ve never been to a really expensive place so that might be true. Different kind of ugliness then though because you know a lot of people there will be rich

Alright, Jess Glynne…
(anyone get this?!)

But I have been really annoyed when other people at my table or otherwise have food that looks nicer than mine on many occasions.

in many places, it is easy as I pick from the small number of veggie options

in some, I will go for lots of smaller dishes to share with my friends

on rare occasions all the food will be edible for me and it’ll be a bit anxiety-inducing make a choice

I will share one (1) bite of my food as part of an agreement where I also receive one (1) bite of someone else’s food to try, but I’m done after that.

It’s mine, and I want it all, so it’s gonna have to be a no, mate.

If the cuisine is one that uses chillies, I’m likely to go for one of the hotter options, not because it’s cool or clever or whatever, but because it will likely be the thing that brongs me most joy and I’d be less likely to make it at home, unless I’m just cooking for myself.

I look to see whether the place does a cuban sandwich and if so, I order that in the full knowledge that I will not be getting a cuban sandwich as I am cursed and places that do cuban sandwiches are always just out of cuban sandwiches the moment I order one so then I’m forced to choose something else and resent it for not being the cuban sandwich I knew I wasn’t going to get.
