told this load of times, but remembering when was sat down for a fancy meal with my fam and the waiter asks my dad how he’d like his vegetables (there was an option on the menu for steamed, roasted etc) and my dad replies really confidently and with the mcnulty.gif had wave ‘medium rare please’

Quite enjoy it if you go out with say 3 other people and everyone wants the same thing so you get to just be all “4 steaks please” and you all look decisive and grown up.

-Spend ages deciding.
-Narrow it down to two or three options.
-Change my mind at the last minute and go for something off the Specials menu instead.

It can, but it’s never significantly better enough to justify it over something else.

Been out for meals with the folks where we’ve all ended up ordering the same starter and main

the waiters would start taking the piss out of yous

“hey billy, check out table seven. they all ordered the same thing! aye all four of them LOL”

no i like the surprise

Things that aren’t significantly better enough than at home to justify ordering when out:

Lasagna
Roast dinner
Sausage and mash

Nah they’d be too busy enjoying the extra minute or so of time we’d freed up for them.
