not sure what this means or where you’re drawing the distinction.
seen people say things like ‘the wire is journalism’ but not really buying that, we all watched it for the same reason we watched breaking bad, i.e. the characters, writing and plotlines

there are a lot of Curbs i’ve only seen once, i’ve been gearing up for a complete rewatch.

i’ve watched the first 3 seasons of Arrested Development about 10 times probably. only watched season 4 once though.

I did 15 years ago but now it makes me want o puke my guts up.

This is definitely untrue

man. I 100% guarantee I have never watched it. I used to be a miserable, contrary cunt, so would not buy into any popular 90’s/00’s culture, despite my friends mocking me about it

and then I grew up and still never watched it

end of season 4 works quite well as a nice happy ending doesn’t it

first half of season 5 felt very tacked on, in a “why is he still doing this?” way but second half was good in a proper bleak sort of way obviously

Thought the end of season 2 was so bad, stopped part way through season 3 as his wife knows so it feels like it’s done. Might finish it as I suspect the chicken restaurant guy does something

I’m just trying to rile people by dissing a programme I didn’t particularly care for

I watched up to a couple episodes into season 2. Outside of walter i found the characters to be awful, and it was absolutely full of honking tv drugs cliches. the mexican drug dealer storyline was pure embarrassing to watch. Had to turn off after that.

I’ve seen BB three times all the way through. I’ve also seen the Sopranos all the way through three times. I really enjoyed them both, and wouldn’t want to compare.

For my mind BB hit its stride precisely at Better Call Saul. From then on I really don’t see it missing a beat, although for the life of me I can’t understand why anyone would rate “Fly” as one of the top episodes, particularly since it’s clearly a bottle episode.

The most underrated part of it is the scenery, which is always stunning on any viewing.

And I have to roll my eyes for the umpteenth time and point out to Geoff and all the others who’ve made the same point, that Walter White did not take up drug-dealing to pay his medical bills. It’s explicit in the first series that he thinks he’s doing it to provide for his family when he’s dead. And if that’s not enough, in the very final episode they get him to spell out, explicitly, why he did it, and I quote: "I did it for me. I liked it. I was good at it. And… I was really… I was alive. "
