Pretty much this. Walked home from school. Stuck a video on. Mum got home and couldn’t believe I hadn’t seen the news

Headers and Volleys with a punishment for conceding three goals of having to turn and face the fence and have all the participants of the game pelt the ball at your arse one by one

Dogs are famously not very good at volleys

I was at home, it was just before I started uni. Not sure at what point I put the telly on, I think it was between the two planes, but it might have been between the two buildings collapsing, or not. Texted my friend who was at work saying you’re not going to believe this and he said they were all watching it already

Tell you what, it’s very hard to ask a dentist questions about what is clearly a momentous and tragic unfolding event while he’s got his hand in your mouth.

Went for a kickabout in the park with a mate after school and he said about it.

Just got home from primary school and it was on the tv for the rest of the day, was confused / scared

Remember sitting in the bath and worrying a plane might crash right through the bathroom window before I’d got dried and dressed

Sorry

Start of second year of secondary school. We were in form class, the teacher next door came in and said to my form teacher ā€œHave you seen the news?ā€ and my teacher said ā€œOh I saw something awful was happening so I turned it off, didn’t want to see itā€.

Thanks for shutting me out of a pivotal milestone in history, Miss! Don’t think I got to see any footage until I got home from school at around 4 (what time did it happen?)

It’s was a pretty intense place, we all had gas masks and your car was searched by dogs and armed police every morning, so we were kind of used to it.

It’s ok you don’t have to apologise for making me feel really, really old

just got home from secondary school. that was at the very start of year 9.

I remember it being an otherwise very lovely September afternoon.
