Sounds like the best possible way to enjoy that (very underwhelming) film IMO

Remember when you could smoke in cinemas? Those were the days. Now instead of the scent of B&H and weed, all you can smell are people’s popcorn farts.
I do not often go to the cinema.

The one next to you.

i strongly disagree with every aspect of this statement

please leave me alone

No, I don’t.

there is an Everyman opening in Cardiff. What’s the premise ? big seats ? no dickheads ?

This concept is truly cursed.

I’d only sit in 4 seats at our local cinema so on the rate occasion we went there, I’d point them out in the plan and ask if they were available. If they weren’t I went to the pub instead.

BFI small screens - front row, centre. BFI main screen - back row, centre, or about 5 rows back from the front centre.

BFI IMAX - rows M or N, centre.

Little cinemas like the Curzon or the Electric in Shoreditch before they made it part of Soho House, any row from row 3 back, centre.

Those Odeon ones with the sofas at the very back, nice seats just in front of them, then normal seats - front row, centre of the nice seats, although that fake leather stuff is quite slidey for people who like to slouch when sitting down, so Odeon’s generally wouldn’t be my first choice.

Edit: I’m a bit picky when it comes to cinema seats…

where ever i’m mostly likely not to have to sit near any other human beings

often sit in one of the side bits which is less comfortable but more likely to be empty

Comfy seats, wine, food to your chair in some ones. I’m a fan! But it’s v pricey.

I know!! We were like theres no way that’s happening, the dogs will be barking and she said no they won’t and we said the dog isn’t gonna know they’re at the cinema and they need to be quiet

actually tbf the only times i can think of a cinema having an atmosphere was seeing black panther on the opening weekend and maybe the force awakens?

Get Out was great too.

i rarely see films at the cinema and its even rarer to see them on the opening weekend so it may not be a great sample size for me

my dogs would hate going to the cinema i think. older one would get very stressed and younger one woukld be irritated that she had to stay in the same place for two hours

think theyd both be into the popcorn tho
