Missed out on their first one sadly, it was meant to be a good un too.
It seems the most times I buy beers these days are if a band brings one out.
Bought a big box of beers by Marshall a while ago and the box was done like an amp so I keep all my guitar bits N bobs in it. The bigger box is done like a stack.
I’m an easy target for this nonsense lol
my friend got some of these and kept me one, he just messaged me the other day to say he just found it and it went out of date 2 years ago
Just empty it out and keep the can for display purposes
Think the one I have by them is called Valhalla and they had an ale before that.
BSP do the best stuff don’t they.
It’s an IPA. Couldn’t possibly taste any worse than it did fresh.
only band beer i’ve tried is British Sea Power’s Zeus lager. had one bottle 10 years ago, can’t remember what it was like. kept the empty bottle though.
Oh I didn’t know BSP have done more than one
Haha that’s the one I have kept too.
That white label one is quite recent and was only gettable at English shows sadly.heres a photo of the ale from Open Season tour:
Wish that American Footballs beer had made it over here
I’ve had the Ale Power and the Zeus, kept the bottles for years. The ale was when they were playing a Carling Academy venue, who presumably did not allow them to sell their own alcohol at the merch stand, so we bought it from one of the roadies out the back of the van in the street outside: real “pssssst, you kids wanna buy some booze?” vibes. Great stuff.
Not actually from the artists themselves, but Pomona Island have had a few named after some indie classics:
Never heard of the band Cold Years before or since, but this Belgian IPA Drygate did with them was really very good.
Had this a handful of times and it is very decent
Last pre-Covid night out was at their taproom
