Pretty great question, right! Why not have a go at answering it right here on community.drownedinsound.com!
I think this is a good question, and my answer will be Glasgow Central Station.
Same building the whole time?
Hmm, this presents an interesting question about whether a station is a building you can be “in” or whether it is the same as being “outside” in many ways
Buchanan Bus Station
M&M’s World
Yeah, that would be nice actually
Waverley Station
Morrisons
Maybe it’s actually the shop next to the primary school I went to tbh.
If we’re looking at something where you can go inside and shut the door behind you, then maybe the local chapel where I grew up, because I estimate I’ll have been in there around 1,000 times.
I can’t think of any other place that meets the criteria, I doubt I’ve been in any one particular shop/cafe/pub or relatives house (the only other candidates that spring to mind) that many times.
my mates parents house probably, known him since we were toddlers, and his family have lived there since we were in reception other than a 7 year stint overseas
my mum used to look after him and his sister 3 days a week around their mum’s work hours so his answer will definitely be my parents house
shop over the road from my parents house is likely 2nd on the list for my sisters, but I worked there so doesn’t count for me
Do stands count? Probably spent a good while in the Frank Woolley Stand at the Kent cricket ground in Canterbury.
Query for @The_Respected_User
Do you mean the number of visits, or the cumulative total of time spent in the location?
forgot about church, had to go there once a week until I was 17 or 18
fuck!
Reckon it’s that actually. Within 500m of the flat I grew up in, next to my primary school, went to it twice a day (most days) on the way to and from high school and it was my local offie until my mid twenties.
Great threat. Glad I’ve thought about that actually. Might need to schedule a visit.
It’s probably a pub, I’m afraid.
Local supermarket
Really nice query, thanks.
I think I initially thought “number of visits” but actually “cumulative total of time spent” is a lot more interesting isn’t it so let’s go with that.
Thanks again for the query x
Probably Monklands hospital then.
