Which film or TV programme you once liked do you think's probably aged the worst?

I used to love Game On as a kid, but I absolutely couldn’t watch it now, partly because of the content, partly because it’d ruin my memories of quite liking it.

The first series in particular was probably pretty vile. Might be misremembering, but think they toned it down a bit when Stuke joined.

Shoot…

The way they used to get sometimes literal teenagers on in mini skirts while loads of middle-aged blokes gawped and cheered at them was a biiiit dodgy.

Just rewatched it. There’s lots to like I think, but some clanging awfulness too, even if you somehow overlook Barney generally. Multiple jokes involving trans slurs / punchlines which really stand out.

Game On was my first thought too.

Fantasy Football League probably hasn’t aged well outside the obvious blackface stuff.

I’m going to guess Lost, I haven’t seen it for ages and don’t intend to

Same. The vast majority of it has aged alright, I’d argue.

Main thing I think watching Friends now is that I was right all those years ago when I said Rachel was the funniest. Easily the best delivery and most likeable character of the six.

I bet Coupling has lots of stuff that’s aged badly.

Back in the day Dad’s Army was considered a fly on the wall documentary and look at it now!

Gimme Gimme Gimme I suspect may have aged like milk.

I’m gearing myself up for a rewatch of Spaced and I’m desperately hoping it’s stood up; haven’t watched more than the occassional clip of it for probably 15 years.

Yeah I don’t think it’s aged that badly tbh. We did a re-watch recently and Rachel is really the funniest - especially from about season 2/3, the comedic timing and expressions were really overlooked. Ross is still hilarious too even though he is a horrible person, such a big red flag but he has some killer lines

I’d wager about half of it is little more than bullying and the other half stands up in a “you had to be there” way.

The advantage Spaced has though is that it made Simon Pegg look like a knob at the time, and that just turned out to be true.

Remember that episode of Seinfeld where the main plot point is a 15 year old’s cleavage
