Was probably aware of the film first but never seen it
Amazing.
I’m thinking about sponges with little googly eyes on the ocean, sat thinking about how great the banter was in the 1020s
(sorry about ending on a preposition)
That’s the way I like it
Same, I actually went as far as reading all of the books, despite finding it completely unenjoyable throughout. Don’t know why I did that on retrospect.
“where babies come from” was never a taboo subject when I was growing up, and I find it really weird that parents don’t just tell their kids.
I always seem to give up in the same spot. There’s a moment where it gets a bit too much that’s a funny word isn’t it / isn’t it wacky how the aliens call this thing the same as humans call something else it / wotamilikelol and think fuck it, I’ll just watch the film instead.
Yeah, there is a massive smugness throughout, I feel like the book took longer than it should have to write because the author could only type one handed as the other one was too busy patting themselves on the back.
Haven’t even watched the film.
I basically default to hating ballads/soppy songs.
I couldn’t even tell you how the frankie one goes.
No oven glove option?
I think that would fall into option C. Looking things up, the song is from a 2005 HMHB album, and the phenomenon of the tee shirts started in the early 00s, which is part of what the song lampoons - this article suggests 2003: How Joy Division’s ‘Unknown Pleasures’ image went from underground album cover to a piece of cultural ubiquity - The Washington Post
Nigel likes to bide his time on things though. That could have been irking him for a decade.
