Not that recent but Hænesy’s Garabontzia that was released in February fits the drowning premise and I listened to it yesterday and it is still in with a shout of being my album of the year, such a glorious yet furious album of post black metal. If you’re a fan of Alcest but haven’t given this album a listen you may be seriously missing out!
Well, yesterday I went from Jonny Greenwood to Nick Cave and The Bad Seeds to Dakim to Bad Bunny, so can’t really narrow down a sound at the moment.

Coincidentally I’ve actually been listening to Drown. First time I ever heard it was in a planetarium for Laser Pumpkins. Like riding a roller coaster into the ocean before being swept away by feedback.
