Finally watched Zone of Interest last night and the tonal whiplash between the actor playing the Nazis officer being the mild-mannered hotel staff in the just-finished season of White Lotus was a lot!

Think I’ve noticed this a lot more with big tentpole streaming shows, a massive extra marketing push after the season is over. Severance was the same. I guess it’s to try to pull in new viewers to stave off a drop in subscriber numbers?

Not the absolute best telly of all time - obviously - but haven’t enjoyed a TV show as much this decade. Mike White and most of the characters seem like complete bellends but it’s great addictive fun to watch sheer bawdy irreverence where you feel like you’re on the holiday of a lifetime, albeit with complete bellends, albeit in turn when their complete bellendery gets its comeuppance

Finished this yesterday. Very much on the terrible finale train, nothing that happened in it felt even vaguely earned. Disappointing.
