Who do went want on HGATR?

Dandy Warhols
McFly/Busted (actually mayeb not i would have an aneurism defending Room On The Third Floor)
Gorillaz
Sigur Ros
Jesus and Mary Chain
Slowdive
Tame Impala
Patsy Cline
Elastica (maybe when the series is winding down)

Fall Out Boy and Panic At The Disco double act could be a fun nostalgia trip too.

“not necessarily even artists I like that much stuff by, but artists who i’d be interested to read HGATRs about” nominations:
Charli XCX
Laura Marling
Fiona Apple
Solange
Serge Gainsbourg
idk if many people would be able to contribute but i’d love to read a HGATR Nicki Minaj thread with multiple people who could contribute something of significance. i think it would be really interesting, she is such a massive influence for so many current artists.

maybe Mitski and They Might Be Giants too if enough people would vote/contribute, i assume Phoebe Bridgers hasn’t put out enough stuff yet

that’s probably everyone i can think of that would qualify for a HGATR thread

oh lol Fiona Apple got mentioned several times while i was writing this!

yeah i mean i only like Fetch The Bolt Cutters albumwise (and Criminal, Jennifer Lopez reinvented that song in Hustlers) but would be cool to read people’s thoughts about her other stuff, can imagine there being some passionate fans about.

Heard on another forum whose name I shall not mention that there’s a huge fandom for the Eagles among Generation Zers.

Yiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiikes.

I can get the young 'uns Fleetwood Mac obsession with the sun-kissed festival vibes etc, but I don’t get this.

Everyone just wants to Take it Easy maaan.

EDIT: BTW in no way shape or form am I giving the Eagles a 5/5, just curious to see where they sit amongst some other acts of the time.

It’s a similar song to “Stairway to Heaven”, you’ve heard it a million times due to excessive plays. Doesn’t make it bad in my eyes though. I’ll save it for the thread though.

I think it’s quite different to Stairway to Heaven and easier to listen to more often than that. I’ve always loved it (Hotel California).

I’m old enough now to admit that Hotel California is a fantastic song, somehow manages to be both melancholic and uplifting.

Never heard anything else by The Eagles and have no real interest in doing so though tbh

Yes to Isaac Hayes!
