I met the then-governor of the Bank of England, Mervyn King, through work. (Nice bloke). Also met the then Health Secretary, Andrew Lansley (remember him?), also through work. (Smarmy prick).

Met Jet from Gladiators after she starred in a panto at Reading Hexagon. Never seen my dad happier before or since.
Also once encountered Shadow in a corridor at Royal Berks Hospital - I looked up at him as he walked past, and without breaking stride or making eye contact with me, he produced a signed photo from his pocket and put it in my hand.
