Why is salad so hard to pick up?

I love salad but why is it so damn difficult to pick salad leaves up with a fork :confounded:

Salad for tax.

Genuinely a good question, one of the big flaws of an otherwise great food stuff imo

Salad containing warm items (such as halloumi or tiny, crispy potato cubes, or chocolate fondue) cause low-level green wilting, thus enabling effective fork-to-mouth. That’s my theory.

I remember last year when I was trying to get fit and running a lot I ate salad every day for lunch and it was so beautiful. First time I had it I started laughing and shaking my head at how good it was.

If you absolutely smother it in mayonnaise it makes the whole process a lot easier

And more delicious!

Because they don’t want to be eaten.

Just eat it directly off the plate

Normalise using big spoons with salad.

Or, at a push, a salad spork.

Don’t waste your time trying to pick up salad at the discotheque; just leaves.
