Sounds fair dinkum to me, cobber.
Never thought about this. Really interesting point
You think that, but in Australia it actually counts towards their human interest quota.
I did a bit of this during Newsround this morning when their third item was sharing photos of Halloween costumes.
“That’s not news, is it, Pops? I mean, come on!”
My daughter visibly rolled her eyes in despair. “Oh, Daddy, you are a wally!”
I’m so happy this insult is being used
don’t massively care - if i want to read sports news, I’ll go directly to the sports section. However, its nice news, isn’t it. And millions of people in the UK alone are interested in sports. so its appropriate.
same question, but about weather.
It’s not even news, most of it is the future!!!
just guesswork/fiction as well. Might as well just get someone on after sport to read a page or 2 of the latest Jeffrey Archer book.
I just looked it up and it is released today! ‘Head you Win’ - bound to be another tour de force
Excellent! When’s the news on?
‘Here’s Chris with the Jeffrey Archer’.
Chris.
’The master storyteller returns with a nail-biter every bit as good as Kane and Abel – utterly enthralling’ - Joanna Lumley
who would you say is drowned in sound’s ‘master storyteller’?
A kid at school had a copy of Kane and Abel and we would gather to listen to the saucy bits.
I’m sorry to say that Jeff may have been responsible for some of the first stirrings in my groin.
So lucky to have a newsreader in your class
I’ve tried long and hard to think of a funny answer to this and have failed. So I am ruling myself out. Someone who is not Balonz.
Fact x Importance = NEWS
I remember when a cricket person I’d never heard of died and Today on R4 treated it like a monarch had died or something. It was the headline news item, they held a sombre mood throughout, constantly referring to it as a sad day, etc.
Made me cross.
