Why is there a wave of dog obsession at the moment?

is using airbnb something that people should be either defensive or guilty about? as an eternal singleton it’s the only real alternative to either booking a hotel or sleeping in a multi-bed dorm. hotels are problematic too anyway

Sub thread: I feel like thoroughbred dogs with all terrible illnesses are getting way more popular because of social media.

Fortunately I’m seeing the opposite too even more, at least in my area. People are becoming much more educated about rescuing rather than buying from a breeder, and also about how inherently good pit bulls are and how cruel, baseless, and disgusting breed-specific legislation is. I can’t believe it still exists (or I guess I can, considering we live in a garbage world).

It also boggles my mind how greyhound racing is still a thing. Just an absolute stain on humanity.
