Bit concerned that the new album will be shit (haven’t actually heard anything from it yet).

Elephant Eyelash & Alopecia were two of my favourite albums of all time.
Eskimo Snow was something different, and though I didn’t like it quite as much, I appreciated they were trying something new.
Mumps, Etc. had some good moments (particularly the song about @medulla), but definitely felt like they were running out of ideas and becoming one of those bands that has a distinct sound rather than Yoni trying anything and everything like on Oaklandazulasylum and everything before that.
Golden Tickets was bland enough to put me off WHY? altogether and pretty much lose interest in future releases.
Stuff like Divorcee and Yoni & Geti since have been ok (though that covers album up on Bandcamp was awful), but he’s got a very distinct sound now which he plays around within the narrow remits of making everything less exciting.
I’m guessing Moh Lhean will just sound like Mumps, etc. which after a long break might be nice to listen to a few times, but that’s about it. I would love it if I’m proved wrong.

I pretty much have similar thoughts. I think I’ll wait until hearing the new album before deciding whether to buy tickets for the gig or not.

Agree about Mumps, etc. but Jonathan’s Hope is one of my favourite Why tracks.
