Clearly written with no expectation of a second series but leads into one well.
Proper finale not loads hanging around begging for a second season.

Hmm. I felt the opposite TBH. While it would have been an ending without the pickup it definitely felt to me like more threads were started than ended with the expectation of series 2.
I don’t really mind that. While I agree a bit with TKC and stop sign that (as a result of this) the finalé seemed to lose pace, I both enjoyed the character stuff and was glad it didn’t have an ending that required she pull some kind of cheat out of the bag to continue the story.
Overall, I enjoyed it. The bit where yer man from Somebody Somewhere comes out of the projection room was excellent!

Episode 4 was the highlight for me. The fact you know something was very, very wrong, but couldn’t see what it was. Until you saw the flashes in the mirror.

I hope season 2 can keep the quality up.

Just started this, enjoying it. Watched the inn episode last night. Two proper scares: the old guy on the telly and the clown bending down to scuttle into the crawl space

Finished this last night. Excellent stuff. I particularly liked the way they did episodes / parts of episodes in the styles of different horror sub-genres.
Not entirely convinced it needs a second series, could just be left as is.
Only nagging doubt is the question - was it just higher budget Stan Vs Evil.

Really good series. Very happy to hear it’s coming back, definitely feel like there’s plenty of scope to expand with this one. Kate O’Flynn is just so good in this. The episode with her near poisoning everyone was amazing
Wasn’t that big into the ‘history of the island’ episodes. Stuff like that always gives me LOST flashbacks. Felt like that was whole bit was one episode split over two and dragged a bit. However, small gripe and the rest of it was top quality.

Finished this last night and loved it. Just the right level of horror for me, creepy without being actually scary. I like it when things unashamedly lean into genre and have fun with it. Suprised to learn Matthew Rhys is Welsh and only just found out from reading this thread that Patrica is English! Both excellent.
