Going to a confirmation in a church tomorrow, and it’s just reminded me of the time I worked in a bookshop and an American asked me to inscribe something with «confirmation». I asked him, are you SURE that’s how it’s spelled? And he got a bit offended and said YES OF COURSE. Really wish I could’ve seen his face back in the US at the confirmation party when he realised his mistake.

Didn’t realise it was on iPlayer

Just finished dinner, going to go into gargoyle mode and watch a bunch of movies. Starting with “Night of the Hunter”.

Think it’s just there temporarily cause it’s been on TV recently.

don’t really know what gyms in the UK are like because I’ve been in so few of them, but the ones here are great - more like a social club than anything. my sister said the same thing about a diff place when she lived here. there’s a stack of daily papers next to the weights and a small seating corner too (its like one big room with a shower/changing room at the back).

week 2 and i’m on nodding hello and ciao terms.

imagine what living about 600km as the crow flies away from fnc is like

:frowning: booooo. BUT but but, don’t you live very close all the rest of the delicious food in the world? I think ultimately you are winning.
