My interest levels are through the floor for it. Normally I’d try to watch every single game (and have done for the last three WCs) but this time I don’t give a fuck. I’ll probably catch a game or two here and there but it doesn’t sit right with me.
In retrospect I probably should have boycotted Russia as well but I just… didn’t?

Gonna watch a couple games with pals in the pub but nowhere near the same amount of interest.

was curious what everyone was thinking. even leaving all the qatar horribleness to the side for now i have never looked forward to a world cup less than this. and what a fucking ridiculous time to be having it.
And then there’s all the qatar stuff.

Football these days is a grubby business at the best of times, but I just can’t imagine enjoying a second of this, knowing that the stadiums you’re watching a ball being kicked around in were built by effectively modern slaves, thousands of whom died in the process.

apart from the Qatar grossness of the whole thing it just doesn’t feel like a world cup so is impossible to be excited for. Just seems like one of those pre-season friendly tournaments in singapore or whatever.
Will watch a few games for sure but won’t be bothered about missing any of it.

I’ll watch it, because I’m a coward, but there’s not a lot of love in my heart for elite sport nowadays. Been trying to find a way of being fulfilled with non-league football and county cricket for about five years, but, dunno, michaelcorleonekitchen.gif

Will watch the Belgium games cos it’s the last world cup in god knows how long that they’ll have any decent players. Not much of the rest. Accidentally booked a eurostar ticket during the final
yeah cos im weak. Think it’s going to impact the enjoyment a fair bit though which it absolutely should.
Caught a bit of that jamie redknapp thing on sky and him and jack whitehall were at a stadium out there jizzing over how nice it was and it felt really off. Not going to be watching any preview stuff to get hyped as i normally would. Will probably stick to england games.
One of those annoying people who only really watches football when it’s the WC or Euros so guess I’m not sacrificing much by not watching anyway.
No italy either, will miss mancini and his backroom staff looking shit hot in suits on the touchline
