Do find it really weird that all the news reports on that one said “a conservative MP” as if there was no way of finding out who it was in particular

Given the amount of tweets they’re pumping out about this, the Guardian are desperate for this to become a thing.

Aye but that specific example was taken as substantial eveidence of a dismissive attitude towards women in the house.

I have no issue with Corbyn calling May stupid (lord knows the past 3 years haven’t come across as particularly competent or intelligent), but there almost always is something more to using the phrase “stupid woman” than ‘stupid idiot who happens to be female.’

Someone connect the analogy/metaphor of a mail journalist being thrown out of the Irish embassy in London for getting drunk and shouting ‘Brexit!’ when the ambassador was trying to make a few serious points please. I’ve tried but it just seems too… Brexit.

Our politics has really descended into the gutter, eh? People on all sides outright shouting obscenities at each other, deadlock caused by a lack of bipartisanship wherever you look. The situation is crying out for an honourable individual to take charge. Bring unity to the country and restore decency to our… wait, who’s that? Who’s that striding to the table and politely but firmly grasping the mace??

obviously a good idea, considering how well the British have historically mobilised in the workplace. the last strike was only in…1926!

wait, I as a PEFB’er, I think i should like this Jolly person

The thinly veiled is civilian MOD and some of the stuff they been asked regarding logisitics/planning for no-deal Brexit is truly alarming. Can’t post deets as obviously I’m not even supposed to know :unamused:

On a lighter note, everyone loves Daily Mash posts don’t they…

tbf we were saying upthread that if the fbpe lot were really convinced about brexit’s awfulness they should already have been striking and potentially breaking the law. amazed it’s taken this long for a windmill to suggest something even vaguely spicy. problem is british people really are pathetic, servile creepers, despite what we tell ourselves. if there’s actually a mass strike i will eat my twitter account.

i think pets has sort of alluded to the deets with the daily mash article
