Carlos Brathwaite did that at the world cup(!) game I went to: WIndies were 9 down and needed something like 30 off the last 2 overs. He smashed 3 sixes in a row, reached his century, and they needed 6 to win in the last over +1 ball.

He obviously had to hit a 6 rather than taking the easy single, but holed out to the longest part of the ground. Was absolutely devastated.

Honestly can’t believe they’ve recalled Jennings, based entirely on a 5 test sample size conclusively showing he is “good against spin”. He made it past 50 once in 6 innings last time we toured SL (incidentally the only time he’s got past 50 in his last 15 tests), he averaged less than 30 in Div 2 last year and seemed a genuinely broken man in the last test he played, this is an absolute punt by the selectors.

Ultimately made very little difference as they crossed, and Morgan is an absolutely beautiful batsman. Pretorius’s absolute #headsgone drop right after was pretty funny, though.

T20 is silly, though.
