Guy at work got the new AirPods and I gave them a go. Got to say, the noise cancelling it really impressive for something so tiny. £250 though!

UPDATE:

Never so much as taken them out of the office. Might actually be the worst things I’ve ever owned.

Bought some Sony WF-1000XM3 the other day. Really impressed with the sound quality. Highly recommended for wireless earphones at about the £140 mark.

really happy with my Melomania 1s. in fact, one of the best purchases I’ve made over the past couple of years. Fit, and sound quality are exceptional. battery life too. look innocuous and have survived a year of near daily use including runs and gym.

I got these at the beginning of lockdown (on eBay) and they’re great, unlike the v1 which had such a poor connection I was on the verge of returning them*

*(but I didn’t, because I got pissed and fell asleep on the tube and lost one)

These mothers broke so got some Jabra 65T. Seem decent.

You will be pleased to learn that the plastic tip of my Plantronix Bluetooth Headset has broken, and briefly got stuck in my ear.

Pleased? Delighted.

Glad to see the barely held together fraternal ties completely eliminated now it’s been confirmed that epimer is not in fact German.

Been really happy with my Mifo 05s TBH

I know it’s not cool but the AirPod pros are really good

I have some Mpow ones, they don’t seem to clever connection wise when the phone or ipod is in an armband or shorts pocket (cuts on and off quite a bit) but fine if I’m holding the device in either hand.

I’ve got these and on the verge of sending them back because they sound so tinny and weak. Am I doing something wrong? Is there an app for them to customise the sound quality/EQ?

I mean, they DO sound a bit tinny, but I think compared with other true wireless earphones at that price point, they’re difficult to beat, taking into consideration battery life too.

not aware of any customization options, never really had to.

I’d try different tips maybe? they sounded a bit like that until I found a tip that fit me perfectly (the medium memory foam ones).

actually I’m slightly talking bollocks about adjusting the settings - they released a firmware update for them last year I think, which boosts the volume, and that made quite a big difference. However, I just read new versions ship with the new firmware anyway so…

these with comply foam buds, best earphones i’ve ever owned

headphones > earphones.

At first you think “oh no I can’t wear headphones out of the house I’ll look like a poser/idiot” but you soon get used to it and they’re way more comfortable.

Really hoping they drop in price soon - the noise cancelling is amazing. I have a terrible track record with earbuds though so can’t be forking out that much money for something I will definitely lose.
