One of the worst things you could do is ask me an opinion about anything. I’m now aware of this so just try to not have an opinion or just keep my opinions normal

Exact same thing happened to me, I felt like the only person in the room who didn’t know what that term meant. And it’s not like the kind of word you can guess the definition of and wing it…

Have you considered wilfully disagreeing with things? I’m lead to believe it’s a solid substitute

Just this second I said to the wife “When you’re young you read books for the stories, then when you’re older you read them for the beauty of the prose, and when you’re older still you read them for the insights into humanity” and she said “ok” and went to bed

This seemed a good thread for it

Hard relate. No idea how to talk about a lot of stuff. Went to see a play the other week and my partner was like “what did you think?” and all I could say was “yeah I liked it”. Good chat you big grey blob.
