I can’t see a thread about Woods.
I am currently listening to this, which I had somehow missed when it first appeared last year
It’s an archival release of stuff recorded 2009-13 (so from Songs of Shame through Bend Beyond) and it’s really high quality stuff imo. Won’t convert anyone new but if you like their brand of lofi psych jams it’s another nice little treat.
Such a good band, anyway. A low key favourite of mine, absolutely dependable for chucking out a good records every few years.

Yeah they’re great. Lost track of them a bit recently, but that comp looks ace - loved those records at the time so more stuff from that period is a great thing. Absolutely blazing live band around this time too, but haven’t seen them since. Cheers for posting!

Yeah, I saw them in Glasgow in 2011 I think supporting Kurt Vile, excellent excellent double bill.

They could’ve been Big Thief/Kurt Vile big if they’d have been on a bigger label and toured a bit more/been a bit more ambitious but they seemed cool with just being a little Brooklyn band. Which is totally fair enough. This is my favourite, legitimately incredible song

I saw them at the Scala on this same tour! Both of them were great. Was a bit concerned that Woods might have seriously upstaged KV after their set, but he really rose to the occasion. Best I’ve seen him

I got done out of a cheap copy of Bumble Bee Crown King last month, so it was lovely to find this - pre owned, on Shrimper so I presume an original press - in a record shop here in Newcastle.

New album out in September
Can’t remember if I ever said I was at that one too. Think Adam from WOD was maybe in Kurt’s touring band still too…?
