The belt I’m wearing today has been my go-to belt since 2008. Got it from Next, just a standard black one, classic buckle. Been worn thousands of times, it’ll give up the ghost eventually but it’s not looking like it’ll happen soon.
Good chance it’s the best value purchase I’ll have made in my entire life, each time worn will have cost less than a penny.

Similar here - had my belt since 2010 and it’s the only one I ever wear. Think it has stretched a little longer over the years, but I have a hole punching tool that I used to make a new hole so it still fits perfectly

From my pov, a belt that stretches as the years pass sounds ideal!

Not sure how long I’ve had my belt but at least 10 years. I have a fancier one for wearing with suits at weddings but my old boy still does me fine for jeans and such.

I refuse to believe that a highlighter hasn’t dried up after 28 years.

Hey, it’s fair to say that I may have been inaccurate.
Cos it’s actually a Schwan Stabilo® Boss® highlighter.
Which is useful information. Because
In 1992, Schwan-Stabilo split into two separate companies: Schwan Cosmetics and Stabilo International GmbH.
And here it is with it’s contemporary pencil case, adorned with Elastica and Oasis logos:
The lines engraved through the barcode were done during a boring maths lesson. With this Helix compass:
Also pictured, a pack of drawing pins from the early 90s that pre-date anything in that whole list.
But does the highlighter actually work? Let’s see…
Yes it says “refillable” on the back. No-one in the history of ever has refilled a highlighter.

It’s witchcraft!
I reckon that you could get on the “and finally…” bit of the news with that (local paper at least).

If this was twelve years ago, I’d start a blog and write about the memories attached to each thing on the list.
Might still. Probably won’t.
