No need to explain. A friend of mine is massively into Parkrun. She takes her two boys down there every week and my FB feed is full of their PBs and all that wholesome stuff. Yesterday she took them to the stadium, and posted pictures. I had to hold myself back from posting “You take your kids for a fun run every week and then you treat them by taking them to see a load of roided up cheats?”

at his peak he would have strolled away from all of them, bad start or no. His top gear just isn’t as fast as it used to be, and it’s not that surprising really

could have ran a bit quicker

Don’t try to bamboozle me with tech talk.

9.92 seems a bit slow to be winning a world championship. wind? track? or are they all just rubbish at running?

It was pretty fast for this competition. Bolt ran his season’s best.

c’mon lads, put a bit of effort in

Coleman’s start and first 50 is phenomenal, in the semi too

60m indoor record should be his no problem

Yeah, Bolt had a terrible start but even so, if he’d run through the line…he was flying there

Oh well

A 100m gold at 35 from Gatlin is just clearly cheating isn’t it?

Phil Taylor just won the matchplay and he’s nearly 57. Must be doped to the gills

pies

Linford Christie won a World gold at 33. Was he doping too? I can never remember now.

Tbh to everyone I’ve replied to in this thread, I’m looking at this from the cycling pov. Cycling has been through everything that athletics is currently going through and then some.

@laelfy it would not surprise me in anyway shape or form that Bolt is a doper. There is enough evidence out there to draw the dots if you want to find it. A lot of his Jamaican colleagues have been pinged for doping and gatlin is an out and out doper.

This is the top 100 times in the 100m. A lot of dopes.

But anyway. Gatlin dopes and wins a championships. He’s like Alejandro Valverde. Cunt

Looks like it

Aren’t all pre-1995 results in the file marked DRUGS now?

*2015

Got done eventually, in some pointless race when he was more or less retired.

Only for women’s track and field really.

that’s quite annoying

Bit off topic, but watching the long jump earlier, it’s amazing that Bob Beamon’s is still the second longest ever. And he only had 1960s drugs to rely on, such as LSD

Mad to look at that and think that every one of those racers/sprinters beat Carl Lewis’ 1991 WR of 9.86s which itself wasn’t besten until 1994

I guess the drugs improved
