Went to an old cinema for yesterdays game and it was generally great. Good atmosphere, great screen and sound, decent beers at £3 a can without much queueing. BUT they had a fucking band on until 5 mins before kick off. Not on tbh. Anywhere showing an England game should have the telly on full volume from the programme starting (if its on ITV you can mute it to play World in motion during the ads)

Probably my most footy hipster claim, but I have a Colombia Football Federation keyring, which my Mum’s old Colombian colleague gave to me when I was a nipper. So that’s got to get my vote really. Peculiar that the yellow block gets so much more space than the blue or red though.

Mike Skinner points out in his book that a strange aspect of becoming wealthier and more successful is that despite having the money for anything you want, everyone wants to give you stuff for free

Be nice if Sheeran had used his platform to ask the FA to give shirts to kids in deprived areas or something rather than willy waving about having played some large gigs
