We don’t seem to have an general worst film thread, so this is it.
I was inspired to post this thread after seeing nearly all of He’s Just Not That Into You last night. It left me with some questions such as:
-How and why have I managed to watch so much of this?
-How does something this awful get made?
-How do the actors all deliver such awful lines with straight faces (or maybe it’s layers of irony and sarcasm… no, I’m sure it’s not)?
I guessed that it was made in the late 90s and that a lot of the actors were early in their career desperate to get into a film. I guessed wrong, because I googled to find out that it was made in 2009.
The second Matrix film. As I’ve said before, didn’t even bother with the third one despite the cliffhanger finish.
I’ve normally got quite a high tolerance for bad films, in that I’ll usually see them through to the end, but I had to switch The Nice Guys off after about 45 minutes.
I had no idea a Baywatch film existed.
Probably that one with about 9 million replies that no one reads
top 5 worst films I’ve seen at the cinema:
King Kong (the jack black one)
The Hulk (2003 version)
Alice in Wonderland (the Tim Burton one)
I love a good exploitation of ambiguity
Worst one i’ve seen at the cinema was that Burke & Hare one by Simon Pegg. Horrendous.
worst film I’ve ever seen the whole way through is ‘Click’. Even the poster for it makes it look as though even Sandler knows its shit and doesn’t give a fuck
Absolutely this. I saw it the day it came out and I’ve still not seen the third one.
But Baywatch has The Rock in? Does even that not redeem it?
Actually quite enjoyed that! Liked the setting and thought Gosling/Crowe worked in the odd couple role.
Not a classic by any means but surprised to see it mentioned in a worst films thread.
it’s one of those torture porn ones that came out early 2000s like Saw, but something with even less plot. I haven’t watched it, but it is.
The Rock and Zac Efron. Actually had the potential to be very funny - but they went so far over the top with teenage boy smut jokes it was unbearable.
Yeah, it probably doesn’t belong in a Worst Films Ever list, but can’t remember ever taking a dislike to a film more than that.
OR ACTUALLY it might be scary movie or one of its infinite parody film successors
It’s this, by a long way:
Heaven is a 2002 romantic thriller film directed by Tom Tykwer, starring Cate Blanchett and Giovanni Ribisi. Co-screenwriter Krzysztof Kieślowski intended for it to be the first part of a trilogy (the second being Hell and the third titled Purgatory), but Kieślowski died before he could complete the project. The film is an international co-production among producers based in Germany, France, Italy, the United States, and the United Kingdom. The dialogue is in Italian and English.
