Alright, Dracula
Yeah it’s actually really good to work somewhere that is lead by a genuinely impressive person. I know a lot of the wank you hear about “leadership” is just that, but some senior people do have that ability to just make the place that you work tangibly better. It’s a real art (and not one that you can really learn IMO).
I would imagine unless yor in the perfect company there are going to be loads of decision that have to be made that maybe good for the company but not for say the environment or staff etc.
Vampire hunter?
makes me a man(ager) of success. makes me the man(ager) of today. @anon29812515
I’m only looking to eat people like roman abramovich, although definitely not him. Senior managers can rest safe
Senior managers across the world wildly overestimate their own effectiveness and ability to effect change. In my experience they spend most of their time positioning themselves to avoid accountability for any risks and potential failures, whilst working to get the finger to point at a rival
Sure. I’m largely shielded from a lot of that working in the charity sector. Although sometimes you have to look at these long-term (as in it is in no member of staff’s interest for a company to go bust/get into severe trouble).
@eps look at this
I was taking the higher ground and ignoring it.
I could not agree more
Would agree even though I personally really disliked him I’ve had a manager who seriously changed the culture of the place I was working in a good way. Naturally he got fired after a year.
If all of us here suddenly got plonked into a new company (which would be excellent, obviously), who here would be the MD?
Seems to be safebruv, geoff and epimer in the running at the moment. Any other contenders?
This bit is really making me chuckle ngl
Bad news everyone, the markets did NOT like this decision one bit.
aye, one of the narcs
not you, the other Dr Epimer
Phew
It’s be Raanraals wouldn’t it? But it would hardly matter because we’d trash the place in minutes.
Congrats @safebruv
