I’ve just done nearly two hours of cardio at the gym and I’m feeling pretty good about myself.

Nasi goreng is boss (I always fuck off the egg though, because I can’t stand egg). I’ve got a great recipe in a big Mary Berry cookbook - from waaaaaay before GBBO made her a big name again - which worked beautifully. Then I got the Hairy Bikers’ low-cal recipes book, which had a recipe for nasi goreng and - guess what? - all of the fun bits were missing.

Ordered a Domino’s because I wanted to not cook, and watch something fun.

Instead I’m watching Belsen: Our Story. I think I’ve never actually ever watched any documentaries about the holocaust before. It’s desperately, desperately horribly sad to watch. One woman’s story is about being made to play the cello in Auschwitz. She’s kinda funny with it, which is… I dunno, I guess you cope somehow.

I can barely stand to even watch it…

I am thankyou. Feel a bit more settled and mentality stronger. My dad is going into rehabilitation residential for two weeks in a few days as he still can’t put weight on his legs/ walk. The hospital have been grand in looking after him but he’s a bit of a stubborn old goat in doing any exercises so I’ve been having to be bad cop out of all my siblings.

Luckily his speech has not been affected at all so we can all listen to him moan and slag off everyone in the ward :see_no_evil:🤷

More fool him though cos the other day he left two bed pans filled with piss on the side and two porters accidentally knocked them both over him covering him :laughing: he was like “trust it to happen to me!”

I was like yeah they did it “accidentally” lmao
