Just heard Emerald speak for the first time. Not what I expected somehow
Wasn’t really expecting that I anecdotally haven’t heard anyone who’s remotely enjoyed this. Think I was expecting it to be a divisive film like her last two, feels like even the people more likely to enjoy it have either disliked it or at best found it really boring.
Sort of put me off watching it hearing how dull it was tbh, would have been up for a hate-watch but just sounds like I’d be bored.

Watched this and really wish I hadn’t.
Not even entertainingly bad, just really really dull. Wanted to walk out several times but assumed it was about to wrap up, so thought I may as well stick it out.
For a film about unbridled passion it was incredibly chaste and there is no chemistry between the leads at all - there’s more sexual tension and longing in an episode of Fraiser.
Why was it 2 and half hours long?!
I’ve learnt my lesson, never again Emerald Fennel!
