its stupidly good. never feel as though I get enough for xmas, but its expensive I guess.

Got a pickled onion cheese from the butcher at work, also some Ticklemore goat’s cheese and Tickler cheddar, oh and some Devon Blue and Sharpham rustic with garlic and chives. Bloody love working in a place with a butchers.

Coming round to the opinion that its best to blow the budget on just one or two really nice cheeses. Last year I got a whole reblochon half price in Waitrose on Dec 21ish, ate pretty much the whole thing to myself on Christmas day with a box of Peters Yard crackers, was one of the best things ive ever done

Couple of years ago I threw a cheese and wine party that had about 17 cheeses.

And a cheese hedgehog of course

Hovis biscuits with butter and stilton is a favourite of mine. Hovis biscuits with any cheese really

I have some Godminster cheddar - bloody lovely it is too

Best cheese biscuits:

  • M&S black olive crackers
  • Hovis digestives

Bought a fuck off massive cheese board that looks more like some kind of seedy initiation paddle from Ikea yesterday. We’ve only bought epoisses between ourselves but my folks are gonna buy a load from The Cheese Society shop back in Lincoln before they head down :cheese:

Bitches, I’m eating cheese this year.

No idea what to get just get. I like em stinky.

I don’t think I have ever had morbier, might give that a try.

Not sure what I will go for yet. Going to cycle out to the big Sainsbury’s and go mad at 5he cheese counter probably (the best of the affordable local options).

I want some manchego and quince jelly for sure
Then maybe something creamy
Then defo a Stilton and a blacksticks blue

I regret not getting a mini chutney set I saw in Aldi yesterday!

Mini would not have been enough!

Lidl do a very nice fig and date chutney :yum:

I’ve never had quince jelly before, what sort of cheeses does it go with?

I tell you what I like - stilton with a bit of honey drizzled on

Prob get a strong cheddar as well, a brie and anything else that takes my fancy

A new deli place has opened up recently, so I might see what they have to offer this year

Ordered this bundle as a christmas present.

Looking forward to doing a wee bit of sampling.
