I know Ned Doheny gets lumped in with this newly invented genre, but really he’s not rock at all, not even yacht rock, he’s more of a blue eyed soul singer or even a proto-disco artist. Doesn’t matter I suppose if people listen to the two or three really genuinely great records he made.
