Four?

You’re pushing your luck here: Toronto potentially, Vancouver maybe, Montreal if it wasn’t for the French speaking twats, and …

Halifax is a lovely, very small city.

Oh. Green Drift and Heathfield are the areas with the biggest houses. Maybe that’s where they meant.

Royston suffers from being dominated by JM, who are very good at keeping a lid on other high-knowledge employers moving into the town.

The good transport links mean that a lot of residents work (and spend their money) in the other towns on the A505.

I went to Vancouver once. It rained non-stop for 48 hours. In July! Couldn’t wait to leave.

Loving Hoogy’s commitment to the bit ITT. Classic stuff.

the draw for the visa lottery could use a lot of work tbh

should get alan dedicoat involved

Wales is properly beautiful, that’s somewhere else I’ve thought about. Problem is, you have to try and find somewhere that doesn’t hate the English. Slim pickings, really

I occasionally think about this, then consider the sort of criteria for places I’d like to go, and then give up. Basically, it’d have to be somewhere that met the following:

  • Warm, largely dry and sunny climate (but not like 40+ degrees a lot of the time)
  • Not somewhere you’ll get arrested or worse for being LGBTQI
  • No massive spiders
  • No scary wildlife generally, actually
  • Not particularly bothered about who they let in (I.e. not insisting on specific skills or qualifications)
  • Relatively easy language to learn

you can say what you like about the guy, but there is no denying, the man hates Canada!

Six different families, all stood in a TV studio, surrounded by their belongings. One of them gets a new life in Canada, the others have to stay in Rainy Fascism Island.

are you familiar with the country Canada?

Too cold and too many bears

I’m quite enjoying you slagging off Canada since you actively chose to come and live in the (awful) U.K. some of us are just here because we were born here :woman_shrugging:

Wahey!

Each and every DiSer who was born in Canada or used to live in Canada, no longer does so. I think I’ve proven my point.
