Your Favourite/Least Football Kit Of The Team You Support

hqdefault-3

I’m old man. A misled glory hunter. I started to support Everton at the age of seven in 1984.

That’s that the kit (from 1985?) is the one that I’ll always think of when thinking of the club. I’m a semi supporter nowadays.

Your favourite kit or indeed least?

Current manager Darren Way wearing the 02-03 kit. It’s my favourite because it’s the year that we got promoted into the league, not for any aesthetic reasons.

Aesthetically probably this beaut.

Least favourite:

This fashion faux pas, or

This 3 star monstrosity.

aesthetically it’s this:

big fan of the lighter blue and the sponsor just being ‘skint’ when ironically we had been skint. now we’re in the prem and sponsored by a massive bank #footy

on the left there. think the image is appropriate, other player is possibly only celebrating the fact he’s got on a proper shirt and it’s sponsored by a bitter, whilst ours says what you look like wearing it

it’s actually nowhere near as bad as this one

Best (there are a fair few to pick from, we have a pretty good track record)

Definitely worst by a mile

Just to clarify that I’m liking this for the shirt, not the bit about Harry Maguire.

I think that looks pretty good, tbh.

Home ones have always looked best when they’re simple
fulham_08-09_home_kit_nike some of the kappa ones were decent bar the sponsor

Had 3 utter, utter stinkers in a row just before we went with nike

Best: (slim pickings, our kits are generally terrible)

Our Thnderbirds kit from 2013/14 is simultaneously the best and worst:

Looks like someone’s wrote some naughty graffiti on it and it’s been covered up with marker pen.

the fox on the badge on the green and yellow stripes one looks proper cheeky

Same with ours. With a white shirt there is a temptation for designers to think they have a blank canvass on which to daub all manner of outlandish graphics. Our best home shirts are from the 70s - no sponsor, plain white, simple trim

I love our 86 kit that we won the League Cup in, even if it does say ‘Wang’ across the front of it:

Loved this shirt, though partly because it was our promotion season probably:

We’ve had some real stinkers though.

Sponsored by a kids pilates business:

I actually really like our current away kit aside from the sponsor logo:

All time favourite is this:

The worst is comfortably this seasons third kit monstrosity:
