So that Maslow dude was all, humans need self-actualisation and feelings off accomplishment like yeah, maybe, but those things are low down on my list.
TOP:
Caffeine. I need it. Coffee, energy drinks, pills, I need as much of it as I can possibly get my little paws on.
NEXT LAYER:
Animals IRL. Photos and videos on the internet are a short term fix, I need to see them in the flesh. Like, I get up in the morning and I make my little coffee and then I throw a monkey nut to a magpie and say hello to it and it sustains me for a few hours. Things like squirrels and cats and dogs, if I get within a couple of metres of them it’ll do the trick. At least once a year I need to go to a safari park or similar, and look a great big giraffe dead in the eyes for a minute or so, so the universe makes sense again for a while.
NEXT LAYER:
Attention.
NEXT LAYER:
Much like a puppy, I need constant fun and entertainment. I get this in a myriad of ways. Sometimes when life is being particularly boring and it’s desperate times, I’ll just sit on the stairs for a bit and blow bubbles.
BOTTOM LAYER:
Like, food and water and stuff.
TOP: solitude
NEXT: proximity to a toilet
NEXT: distractions from the drudgery of every day existence, e.g. computer games, books
NEXT: biscuits
NEXT: looking at naked bodies
NEXT: liquids
BOTTOM: other people
