It’s one of my favourite Hold Steady lines!

Terrible video but an amazing dance track

Ohhhh gotcha! I’m not really familiar with any of The Hold Steady’ catalogue, I’m afraid…

Which album would be a good entry point?

I saw Hall and Oates at Latitude a few years back

They were incredibly great

Boys and Girls in America!

Separation Sunday appears to be the connoisseur’s choice, but it hasn’t got as many (ahem) “BANGERS” as some of their others.

I gave Boys and Girls in America to one of my friends once, and I said to him: “I guarantee that you’ll be a fan by the middle of track 2”. I was right!

Lot of BANGERS taken but… no Stevie Wonder - Superstition? Physically incapable of NOT moving when that comes on.

I always lose my mind when this comes on. Have often been the only person dancing to it.

Not often you hear it on the dancefloor, but this still has the ability to make me lose my shit after a few beers.

I’m in serious danger of using up all my likes in this thread. Anyone (not me please) fancy volunteering to do it as a playlist (I am way too lazy).

Mine used to be You’re the First, the Last, My Everything by Barry White. Unspeakable joy all over that track. I haven’t been out for ages, but I reckon if that came on I’d still lose my shit.
