I was very close to putting Heywood Lane in.

I look forward to hearing your findings
Haha, such a banger.
There’s a strong argument to say that The Sophtware Slump is the best album of the last 20 years.
This is awesome
This is possibly my second favourite list in this thread so far.
Ah thank you. I’m a bit apprehensive about posting in the music threads as my music taste hasn’t really evolved much in the past decade. But I could imagine a neat mix CD of the above.
I c ould pick just 10 Gorky’s songs. Easily. In fact I will.

I love threads like this. Nobody mocks, everyone just shares the stuff that means the most to them. It’s how music discussions should go!
By the way, you chose an EXCELLENT 1969 performance of Dark Star. Very good work!
Ok -
Echo and the Bunnymen - The Killing Moon
Songs: Ohia - Farewell Transmission
PJ Harvey - Big Exit
David Bowie - Five Years
My Bloody Valentine - Only Shallow
Roy Orbison - In Dreams
Radiohead - Daydreaming
Donna Summer - I Feel Love
The Flamingos - I Only Have Eyes For You
Scott Walker - On Your Own Again
I remember the first time I heard farewell transmission I must have played it about 10 times in a row, really something so cathartic about that song.
It still gives me tingles every time. It really is a stunning piece of music, there’s a tragic beauty to it.
mmmm…going to learn it today, thanks
Ah what a great song to learn to play. No prob.
Good list, I could have picked 10 Jason Molina songs & ended up not putting any on.
Hold On Magnolia, Long Desert Train, Blue Chicago Moon, The Lioness for starters…
I Feel Love never fails to amaze me. 40 years old this year…
Yep, crazy…
