Yves Tumor 2023 - New album out 17.03.2023.

It’s very Prince, isn’t it?

Totally miles ahead for AOTY for me at the moment.

I think it’s a bit like Safe in the Hands of Love, where it’s built round a few really strong singles, but there he filled it with the really experimental stuff whereas here there’s a few more forgettable tracks

Another great single, on such a run

Aye the EP is really good. It’s got a real late 00s sound but I still dig it.

definitely some dream poppy/post punky vibes on this EP, like it a lot

This EP is great

Yeah really like this EP. Yves is great.

EP is ok. Not sure it’ll get too many repeat listens though. It’s lacking the experimental pop sheen of his previous two albums.

Another choon

Wasn’t keen on his last EP, but his album before was a banger.

Will need to hear this in the context of an album, though. I’ve loved his last two albums, but the singles released to promote it on their own didn’t do much for me. But on the album, it all came together.

There’s still a part of me that wants him to make experimental stuff again like he did on his first 2/3 albums. It’s the same part of me that hopes James Blake goes back to doing what he was doing in 2011 whenever a new album is announced haha

Still think Safe In The Hands Of Love is the best thing Yves has done by a mile.
