Aya

Love the albums. Not much out there like it. The label with BFTT; YCO is fun too, love the Henzo stuff. Pretty sure I first heard Iceboy Violet through them as well.

This shit is bangin’.

Lots of it sounds like what I wanted Autechre mixing Sophie to sound like, and the last song has a violent magic orchestra vibe. Good stuff.

On the latest lineup announcement for Supersonic, which helps make up for me not being able to make the Bristol show

Hadn’t seen this thread, love her. Only recently found the recorded version of this track, which she used to play somewhere towards the end of her predictably insane, chaotic sets, hearing it live mixed with some break eat shit sent me straight to heaven

She was at last week’s Chat Pile and Blind Girls gigs, thus she has gained at least 5 cool points.

Think this might scratch a similar itch. Their live show sounds amazing

Anyone else going tonight?

I don’t think I’ve been to Ormside Projects before - always good to test out a new venue!

Well, that was thrilling.

Good conversation with Aya that was recorded during Rewire festival the other month:

Edit: nm, wrong aya

Not the right aya I think, aya has always been lower case.

Ah that’s it. YTM attributed it to her for some reason.

Hexed! Is still great

Aya sometimes pops up at screamo shows in London, so now has shot up in coolness.

Microplastics (her collab with 96 back and Jennifer Walton) are doing their debut as a live band at Supersonic next weekend, and looks like they’ve got some other dates lined up too, e.g.
