Went for a sunny drive with this one on earlier today and think Iāve settled on it being quite good
everyone ready for a soundtrack album? with Pat Garrett & Billy the Kid
banger of a film fwiw
really lovely album, great summery vibes, perfect combo with New Morning. Think I could stick those two on in a row on any sunny day and instantly be happier
the are fewer peaks but at his best Iām thinking I prefer 70s Dylan to 60s
This is fine. One of the few Dylan albums you could stick on as background music. Thatās not what I want out of Bob though.

My wife has announced she loves this and would like to know what it is at dinner this evening
Always sorta washed over me has this album. Looking forward to listening to it with a different perspective
Although, Main Title Theme (Billy) is beautiful, Iāll give the man that.
Yeah good album this, not my favourite of the era but I like it.
Knockinā on Heavenās Door has such a weird place in Dylanās career. On the one hand itās really not much of a song, two short verses and a 2.5 min runtime, on the other hand it does have something to it that makes it one of his best known songs (maybe his best known) - maybe just a killer chorus. I wonder how much the GnR cover had to do with its prominenceā¦
Really like this, big fan of albums like this but donāt think its a good as Bruce Langhorneās soundtrack for the The Hired Hand (who played on this and other Dylanās album and is also rumoured to be the subject of Mr Tambourine Man)
Oh not seen the film
- seen Pat Garrett (liked)
- seen PG (didnāt like)
- not seen PG
Fucking GREAT shout.

The soundtrack definitely exists but Iām not convinced the film exists
terrible post
also as if New Morning is gonna score behind Nashville Skyline, you people
Nashville⦠has two and a half bangers though, one half more than New Morning.

NM has 5, grow up
Small correction
Always thought this one was a complete dud but enjoying it a lot on first listen
Will say again - feels like quite a long time since weāve had a classic (Blonde for me, not JWH) but have enjoyed all of these to a degree. Not had a shocker yet really
